Tom Insel, MD – Chairman of the Board

Tom lnsel, M.D., a psychiatrist and neuroscientist, has been a national leader in mental health research, policy, and technology. From 2002-2015, Dr. Insel served as Director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). More recently (2015 – 2017), he led the Mental Health Team at Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences) in South San Francisco, CA. In 2020, he co-founded Humanest Care, a therapeutic online community for recovery. Since May of 2019, Dr. Insel has been a special advisor to California Governor Gavin Newsom and Chair of the Board of the Steinberg Institute in Sacramento, California. He is the author of the forthcoming book Healing: Our Path from Mental Illness to Mental Health, to be published by Penguin Random House. He is currently developing MindSite, a non-profit digital publication focused on mental health issues. Dr. Insel is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and has received numerous national and international awards including honorary degrees in the U.S. and Europe.

Magid Abraham, PhD – Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Abraham is CEO and co-founder of NeuraWell, a mental health therapeutics company.  He co-founded ‘ComScore’ and took it public in 2007. He was founder and CEO of Paragren Technologies, producing CRM systems. As president of IRI, a major international research company, he led the company through sustained growth and innovation.

Dr. Abraham received a Ph.D. and an M.B.A. from MIT, and is Engineer of the Ecole Polytechnique, France.  He became a Visiting Scholar at Stanford in 2015, where he taught at the Graduate School of Business for three years. He serves on several commercial and institutional boards.

He is a world expert on consumer and market measurement and analytics and has authored seminal award-winning articles.  He received some of the most prestigious awards in the field. He was inducted in the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and designated “Technology Pioneer” by the World Economic Forum.

Linda Abraham – Director

Ms. Abraham is Managing Director of Crimson Capital, where she is an investor, advisor, board member (or some combination) in a range of early-stage technology companies, spanning biotech, clean energy, educational technology, data/analytics, machine learning/AI and transportation. She sits on both public and private company boards, including Site Centers (NYSE: SITC), Carlotz (NASDAQ: LOTZ), and TIGER 21. Earlier, Ms. Abraham co-founded two companies: Paragren Technologies, (now owned by Oracle), and comScore (NASDAQ: SCOR), a global leader in digital measurement and analytics. She sits on the board of the School of Data Science at the University of Virginia, and has recently been named a Fellow at Stanford’s Distinguished Careers Institute.
